Deux captures de ce magnifique mâle Colibri d'Anna qui était posté sur la plus haute petite branche de cet environnement, impossible de le manquer. J'ai conservé six photos de ce beau mâle, en voici deux qui montre bien le changement de la couleur qui est réfléchie avec l'angle de la tête de l'oiseau par rapport à la source de lumière. Les photos précédentes et suivantes perdent graduellement l'intensité de ce beau rose fuchsia.

Two captures of this magnificent Anna's Hummingbird male who was posted on the highest small branch of is habitat, impossible to miss him. I have kept six photos of this beautiful male, here are two which clearly show the change in colour that are reflected with the change of angle of the bird's head in relation to the light source. The previus and following shot loose the flashy pink gradually.

Sooke is a municipality on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, Canada, 38 kilometres by road from Victoria, the capital of British Columbia. We stayed at a place with a view of the coastline, layered hills and often rich sky with interesting weather. We found that Sooke had interesting art displays, restaurants and and a place that made mead. There was also a rather good small museum and book shop.

Bike tour to Sooke with Rhymeswithbombs

Lots of great trees along the lower part of Sooke river

We had a fine stay at Sooke, Vancouver Island, Canada. This day had grand clouds and it was a great day for sailing. So I imagined sailing in a wooden dory with a tanbark spritsail. I have never owned a dory, but I have used a spritsail on my sail canoe. The sprit holds up the top of the sail and is fastened to the mast by a snotter. The rig can easily be taken down and stowed in a small space. This image combines the Sooke seascape with a sailing dory photo I took at Port Townsend .
