Ansel Adams would slap a red filter on his lens, then spend three days burning and dodging in the dark room, making his prints. That’s a manipulation. Even the photographs of Henri Cartier-Bresson, with all due respect to him, are notoriously burned and dodged :-)

Some days ago I discovered this snow area on a frozen pond. The day after rain moved in and removed the whole thing.
Some interesting facts about the Black-Necked stilt:
They feed in both salt and fresh water on half webbed feet that allow them to swim, although they rarely do.
They have the second-longest legs in proportion to their bodies of any bird, exceeded only by flamingos.

Sempervivum tectorum, the common houseleek, is a species of flowering plant in the family Crassulaceae, native to the mountains of southern Europe, cultivated in the whole of Europe for its appearance and a Roman tradition claiming that it protects buildings against lightning strikes.
The name Sempervivum has its origin in the Latin semper ('always') and vivus ('living'), because this perennial plant keeps its leaves in winter and is very resistant to difficult conditions of growth.
The specific epithet tectorum means 'of house roofs', referring to a traditional location for these plants.
The hairs that fringe the leaves can be seen on close inspection.
This gorgeous giant swallowtail was hanging out on the firebush soaking up some rays when I spotted him through the window. I took a couple of snaps and went out to see if I could get a shot from outside but alas he was already gone.
I hope your day is filled with incredible opportunities and you are able to take full advantage of them. Happy snapping.
These impressing monkeys have an amazing mimikry. Its a subspecies of baboons wich live in the "Tierpark Berlin". Only one day with good weather when we were in Berlin for a long weekend - so we choosed to try to make some sunshine photos away from the many tourists in the inner city. This was a good idea.. :-D
