Salesforce Tower up to the 46th floor as of August, I read. When complete, this will top off at 61 floors and be the tallest building on the West Coast of the US. Architect is Cesar Pelli. They have dug a hole under the tower that is supposed to become a high speed rail terminus in the future, but funding has not been found yet to dig the rail tunnel connecting the current rail terminus at 4th and King to here. To the left of it is Millennium Tower, in the news recently because it is apparently sinking and tilting at a rate more than it should... The city blames the developer, while the developer blames the construction next door. #soma #somasf

M.Y. China. Last month, we sampled a few dishes at this fine dining spot under the Dome in San Francisco, Ca.. (M.Y. China @ Balitang SF)
I have noticed that there are very few tunnel-to-inner-courtyard buildings in San Francisco- I love those types of carriage entrance buildings in Paris. This was originally the Jackson Brewing Company. Construction was started in 1905, partially destroyed during the 1906 earthquake, and finally finished between 1907 and 1913. Really nice masonry. 1475 Folsom St in SOMA. #somasf #carriageentrance #portecochere #romanesquerevival

Had lunch with a former colleague at Yelp HQ. Inside the gorgeous and opulent lobby. The 1926 skyscraper was designed by Timothy Pflueger. SOMA, San Francisco. #soma #somasf #artdecolobby
I only went there once or twice, probably on the way to Slim's, 20 Tank, or Paradise Lounge. But I still got some matches.
