This is the solution to the purple 'domino dilemma' card from perplex city - the basic idea is that all the dominos must fit into the predetermined shape, with every dot from the bottom up being of a larger value than the one below. A quick solution to the problem of my wonderful FIL's overestimation of the size of our dining table (and hence gifting me a too-large cutting mat, which then resulted in my using it on the floor, and I am too old for that)... one $16.99 piece of plywood (or something like that) from Home Depot, with three cuts (done at the store for a few cents each) to make two 3x3 squares. Voila! I can fairly easily carry each square up and down the stairs, and now I can use the cutting mat on the table! Still a temporary solution, since the table is not exactly the right height, but a lot better than sitting on the floor, bruising my knees and making my back ache. He's a genius, that husband of mine (it was all his idea).

This is my solution to the new gearbox mount problem, hack the doughnut down to a D shape. I've also notched the top a little as it was still fouling a plastic cover under the output shaft.
I'll have to hammerite the exposed bits bit I think by sticking with the 80mm doughnut and just losing the overhang I'll retain good lateral stability which is where the biggest force will be both from the torque down the prop shaft and the G force on hard cornering

this small CDV album was pretty torn up and one of the little "legs" was missing. I used molding paste to make one. Covered the front and back with paper backed book cloth. It wasn't malleable so I ended up with a bumpy cover and back! My solution is to live with it . The ribbon tape down the middle helps visually to destract the eye from the bumpyness. I actually think it has character now
