This event, organised by EBRD’s Environment and Sustainability Department, began with a dynamic presentation of the Bank’s impact as we launch the EBRD’s Sustainability Report 2016, highlighting the accomplishments of the Bank and its clients during the year.
The panel discussion then explored the concept of green growth and its relevance to EBRD’s countries of operations, the Bank’s role promoting effective green and inclusive growth, and the solutions necessary to achieve positive sustainable development.
The event concluded with the 2017 EBRD Environmental and Social Awards which recognises achievements in four categories: Sustainable Energy; Climate Change Adaptation; Environmental and Social Best Practice; and Environmental and Social Innovation.
