Around two years ago I made a small microscale fighter out of tablescraps while beginning to sort my LEGO. Even though it was a fairly ordinary design I was quite fond of it so never took it apart, and after finishing my SHIPtember project was looking for something new to occupy me. So I decided to scale it up, and the result is what I am calling the Wolfhound - a near-atmosphere, crew-of-two fighter craft.
Initially I was going to a simple scale-up, keeping all the features of the original micro model the same. As I progressed I couldn't help tweaking some stuff, however; the most noticeable change being the length of the wings. The original wings ended up looking something like battering rams, more as a result of the parts I had available than anything. When it came to the minifig-scale model, I couldn't get a solution I was happy with, so I played around with some of the proportions and ended up with a Vic Viper-esque shape that I'm quite pleased with.
I have decided to get a tripod for my macro shots. I'm in physical therapy for shoulder issues that are most likely from holding my camera one handed. Anyone have suggestion on a lightweight tripod that would be a good option? I am not going to stop taking pictures so I have to find a solution. :)

Despite all the capabilities we have, there are things we cannot overcome. Dreams come true, if you want it - this is the world of adults. What about the children? How is in their world? Perhaps, we - older, much more mature people - build the walls which block children with their dreams and desires...
Is there any solution? I hope so...

sipping the nectar-like solution from our feeder, that you can see through our living room window. I was sitting by the door in my wheelchair waiting for a hummingbird to go to the feeder, when all of a sudden one of them flew one-foot from the door and hovered there for 15 seconds, staring at me the whole time. It was an interspecies communication!! Was it thanking me for the false-nectar? I want to think so, but I doubt it. I did smile at the bird and thanked her for visiting me. Damn, I love hummingbirds!

Florida Everglades.... This area has been scoured clean of invasive plants so native ones can take root. Solution holes are formed as the limestone erodes or dissolves. The combination of rainfall and decaying vegetation often creates a weak acid which can dissolve the limestone.
