Solaris is a classic Daniel Bombigher gaff rig. Built in 2003 by Ultramarine Yatchs, she has a strip planking (wood-fibre sandwich) red cedar hull / interior and teak deck.

She is powered by a 37HP Yanmar diesel engine (newly installed and under warranty until Dec 2007) and is currently for sale in Sydney Australia (although she can be transported anywhere in the world).

Solaris is a haunting, meditative film that uses sci-fi to raise complex questions about humanity and existence.

The 2002 film starred George Clooney and is as compelling and interesting to watch now as it was then.
