Sitting in the sun,
iPod batteries done,
solar-cell charger
in their place,
keeps Dylan, elegising
I wonder at the
photons entering it,
taking a leisurely
few million years
to rise
from the sun’s core
to it’s shining face,
yet just eight minutes
to wink across
cold, black space
to now become :
“Though you might hear laughin’, spinnin’,
swingin’ madly across the sun
It’s not aimed at anyone,
it’s just escapin’ on the run
and but for the sky
there are no fences facin’”

Please view Large. We didn't go out and buy this, it was part of a recent birthday gift to Nitza. With a light sensitive cell, the plastic leaves dance up and down in the daylight.
It even tells the time ;-)

This scale has centimetres and inches, solar cells to power a small calculator and was free. It was given to me by learndirect at Marylebone library when I did them a small favour. This happened about a year ago, so it looks a bit worn and scratched. The shot was taken beside the canal under a tree of heaven on last year's twigs, leaves and stalks.

Any advice for connecting to the Aluminum contact points on these cells? They won't take silver solder.
Any serious suggestions?
