--"Lead with your Strengths" AND your accomplishments. (Not just accomplishments as was likely the way for your parents/guardians)

--"Be Spiderman!" Set the intention to connect yourself to as many people as possible. It matters. Don't think you're not important because you're in high school. The tech mentors told the kids, "We want you to come up to us at networking events. We look forward to it." You never know what doors and opportunities one connection can open up or spark!

--"The Art of the Followup." Meeting people is great and Purposeful followup is something to lean into. Step 1: Connect! Email is fine but there's no info about you. LinkedIn has a professional impact and it has your background and accomplishments. ADD your STRENGTHS to Linkedin! (Minimum age 16 LinkedIn)

Coding, design thinking, group projects using software engineering cycle. PHP. Kids are learning and networking and becoming a part of the extended social & career fabric of their city—beyond the walls of their schools. 👏👏 In the first pic you see front and center Darren Woodruff, a founding director of Debruce Foundation. I had the honor of meeting him today, talking ed with him, and witnessing his true curiosity about the people and the learning going on in the room. Darren Woodruff took the time to talk to every team and ask questions. Debruce made this camp free to kids. Thanks to them this amazing experience is forever etched into the minds & hearts of the kids and adults. Parents and families are impacted as well.
