Diese Begriffe sind unterschiedliche Dinge. Und Low Code bedeutet sicherlich nicht "kein Dürfen". Ich sage das alles als großer Fan einer Low-Code-Plattform, die ich als modellbasiertes Softwareengineering mit einer fachlichen Regelsprache bezeichnen würde. Low Code reduziert Einstiegshürden und integriert Fachexperten. Viele Programmierer denken, dass es bei Low Code Engineering darum geht, simple Kleinstanwendung mit wenige Funktionen und geringen Fähigkeiten schnell rauszuballern.

Andere Programmierer befürchten gar die Programmierung aus ihren Händen genommen zu bekommen - bis sie schließlich erkennen, dass gerade die herausfordernden technischen Programmierthemen, die Schlüsselstellen einer technischen Entwicklung wie z.B. individuelle Integrationsthemen nicht im Scope eines Low Code Systems stehen.

Und dann gibt es noch diesen Zeitpunkt, an dem sie erkennen, dass es bei der Softwareentwicklung um die Lösung von Problemen geht und dass die Umsetzung der fachlichen Logik einen entscheidenden Anteil an dem Erfolg eines Softwareprojekts hat. Und genau hier hilft natürlich ein Low Code-Werkzeug ungemein. Nicht nur den Programmierern, die dann weniger Routine-Arbeit haben, eher den Fachexperten und Kunden die erstmalig ohne Programmierkenntnisse eine Enterprise-Anwendung direkt gestalten können.

Genau an diesem Punkt leiden dann die brillanten technische PLs, die einen Teil ihrer PL-Tätigkeit und Kundenkommunikation einbüßen werden und an Business Analysten abgeben werden.
