Tomonoura might be the best place I've ever been in Japan... I really fell in love with this small seaside town! (And this Tomonoura Cider was tasty too!) Fukuyama-shi, Hiroshima-ken, Japan. November 26, 2015.

Next door to the Masonic Lodge sign was this rusty, crusty sign for what looked to be a thriving little place.

In the quiet rural village of sa pobla in mallorca, a stone wall with a green window shutter forms the backdrop for a simple yet evocative scene. lined up on the ledge are various cans of drinks, a quiet witness to the festive celebrations of san antoni, captured under the cloak of night.

The Beef Burger Barrel originally opened as an A&W Root Beer stand on Route 66 in 1937. It was located at Hayes and E. Amarillo Blvd. ( E. Amarillo Blvd. was part of Route 66 back then) until 1947 and moved around Amarillo before reaching its current location at 3102 Plains Blvd. in 1952.

i found this coke light can some months ago on the roof of an industrial building and took it with me as a prop for photography. didn't use it but gonna keep it. it says on the bottom of the can best before october 1993, so it's older than me lol. stay young and drink something better - like a fresh juice

This morning I took Mum, for her usual Thursday shopping trip and I went to have my usual breakfast/relax time, while she shops...(she has early breakfast, so she prefers to go straight to shop).

When I got to the cafe, the waitress brings out this bottle and just holds it up...imagine my amazement, at seeing my name on a coke bottle!

Only yesterday, I was thinking, "they've written songs about Caroline, Sadie etc but I don't know of anything with my name in it...well today, I do!

I'm honoured Mr Coca Cola, to have my name on this bottle!

Shhhhhhhh, don't tell him that I don't actually like Coca Cola!

I would much prefer a love song with my name in it lol ;)

PS this company has clever heads running their advertising...this small bottle cost $3:90...just because it has my name on it lol...I could've bought 3 litres for that!

The lion's head along Kennon Road is the undisputed landmark that is synonymous to Baguio City. It is commonly said that a trip to Baguio City would not be complete without taking home a souvenir photograph with the famous lion head which serves as the backdrop on Kennon Road.

Local and foreign tourists make it a point to stop in Camp 6 and have their photographs taken at the base of the lion head. The 40-foot high lion head, located a few kilometers from the Kennon Road view deck, was carved by a Cordillera artist from a limestone boulder. Lions Club members of Baguio City thought of creating a symbol that would proclaim the presence of the group in this mountain resort city.

Just beside the lion head are a few small stalls that sell woodcarving and other native handicraft. Softdrinks and light snacks are also sold to visitors who take time to stop and take a break after the 45-minute drive up Kennon Road. The vendors have enjoyed high sales since this popular landmark was constructed.

It was during the term of Baguio Mayor Luis Lardizabal, who was also Lions Club governor in 1969 to 1970, when the club conceptualized the creation of the lion head. Actual work started in 1971 and took a year before this now-famous landmark of Baguio was unveiled to the public by Lions Club International in 1972. The club tapped donations from Lion members and businessmen in the city and pooled proceeds from a state convention to fund the construction of the lion head.
