Where once there had been soft tones of sunshine, her skin now turned back to the darkest green of the deepest forest. Opening her eyes Cel looked over her home, her natural-form bright green orbs glowing. This was the best, and only form to go hunting in.

Estas glicinas florecidas son para mi querida Montse Poch. Creo que si hay alguien en flickr que le gusten las flores tanto como a mi, es a ella. Además, son casi siempre flores que nos encontramos por el campo, por las aceras, por los jardines de las casas. Casi siempre flores silvestres, bonitas y fotogénicas.
Las fotos de Montse son divinas, en luminosidad, nitidez, colores, encuadre... son perfectas. Ya lo dije una vez y lo vuelvo a repetir, es una de mis fotógrafas preferidas de Flickr. Como persona un auténtico cielo, muy muy maja.
Te mando las glicinas (no se cual es su nombre científico .... jajajaj) espero te gusten.

This is not my usual image but I like experimenting, I hope you like it too. Dedicated to all mums!!
Like so many people, we are focused on the garden more than usual this year. And I keep finding tiny feathers that I guess are molt feathers from growing birds. So I keep bringing them in to shoot. These feathers are so tiny (1 to 2 cm) that only a macro lens can see what they really like!

SOOC. Just resized and added watermark. I brought this flower inside and used my DIY Lightbox to take this shot. Orange background is a cloth, gradient look because of the light I positioned on the right. The glow caused by this light too. Positioned myself, tilted the camera to get this angle.

I woke up this Tuesday morning
to a Winter wonderland
the daffodils have tumbled
the gulls don't understand
Miss Smilla on the chimney stack
hides beneath her wing
her head feels like it's upside down
like Marilyn's iconic picture
she feels the upflow of the steam
ruffling her plumage
a pretty painting; soft tones of white and grey
how beautiful the world is
on this lovely snowy day
her companion takes it easy
feels the warmth from fires below
waiting for the sun to shine
hoping it will melt the snow
here it is unusual
to see much snow at all
the sea salt air may stop it laying
but not today with all that falls
too much at once; the Siberian winds
drive the chill factor to minus ten
we are not used to it by the sea
so far South, I pick up my pen
I am inspired by this wondrous gift
cheered by the children making snowmen
throwing snowballs; healing rifts
within my heart I'm a child again
Miss Smilla is resilient like me
she embraces all that comes her way
a loner with a fractured heritage
a bridge for all who cross and pray
we can learn much from her dignity
preserved no matter what storms come
weathering them with graceful charm
standing fast just waiting for the sun.
