The little metal bird is an antique stud button from the late 19th century. The ceramic button below it, depicting a swallow, was made by the Sheffield-based ceramicist Laura Walker in the 1990s. The feathers were kindly donated by local birds flying over my garden. :)
For this week's Macro Mondays group theme, Flight. The ceramic button is a fraction over 2" wide.
Something soft and fuzzy this way comes. The intent was to photograph the gosling in the background, until this little soft and fuzzy one walked into the frame!
Five Montana Rail Link EMD six-axle locomotives, used as a helper set on Bozeman Pass, head downgrade back to Livingston glinting the setting sun on October 10, 2005.
