This is a hand made sofa set made to match the size of the tall FR dolls. The sofas are completely hand made in Finland by me and consist of foam block core over wooden frame, backs covered with fine birch plywood and brass feet with the upholstering of your choice.
The sofa sets are now available for custom order in different colours. You can order the lounge parts separately or the whole thing as a set. The pillow cases are removable and can be replaced with different colour sets. The legs come off to save in shipping costs.

The Twin Kiosk, also referred to as Apartments of the Crown Prince, consists of two privy chambers built in the 17th century. The building is connected to the palace and consists of only one story built on an elevated platform to give a better view from inside and shield views from the outside. The interior consists of two large rooms. The ceiling is not flat but conical in the kiosk style, evoking the traditional tents of the early Ottomans. As in tents, there is no standing furniture but sofas set on the carpeted floor on the side of the walls for seating. These chambers represent all the details of the classical style used in other parts of the palace. The pavilion has been completely redecorated, and most of the Baroque woodwork has been removed. The decorative tiles, reflecting the high quality craftsmanship of the İznik tile industry of the 17th century, were removed and replaced with modern copies. The paintwork of the wooden dome is still original and is an example of the rich designs of the late 16th/early 17th centuries.The windows in colored glass look out across the high terrace and the garden of the pool below.
The Imperial Harem is the section of the Topkapı Palace where the most private apartments of the sultan are located. The Harem was home to the sultan's mother, the concubines and wives of the sultan, and the rest of his family, including children, their servants as well as the eunuchs guarding the harem. The Harem consists of a series of buildings and structures, connected through hallways and courtyards. The Topkapı Palace is a sprawling palace complex whose construction started in 1459--only six years after the Ottoman conquest of Constantinople (now Istanbul). It served as the official and primary residence of the Ottoman Sultans for approximately 400 years (1465-1856). The palace is a complex made up of four main courtyards and many smaller buildings. At the height of its existence as a royal residence, the palace was home to as many as 4,000 people. Topkapı Palace gradually lost its importance at the end of the 17th century, as the Sultans preferred to spend more time in their new palaces along the Bosporus. In 1856, the court was moved to the newly built Dolmabahçe Palace.

These two armchairs and a sofa (1987.62.1) are from a set of furniture that also included a daybed, six side chairs, and two additional armchairs. The set was designed by the Bolognese architect Filippo Pelagio Palagi, who in 1832 was commissioned by Carlo Alberto, king of Sardinia, to redecorate his royal palaces. One of these palaces was at Racconigi, and Palagi designed this set of furniture for the principal drawing room next to the royal bedroom.
The armchairs and sofa are distinguished by the sculptural treatment of the crest rails and by the quality and refinement of the veneering. The fall of 2022 I did my 3rd major cycling tour. I began my adventure in Montreal, Canada and finished in Savannah, GA. This tour took me through the oldest parts of Quebec and the 13 original US states. During this adventure I cycled 7,126 km over the course of 2.5 months and took more than 68,000 photos. As with my previous tours, a major focus was to photograph historic architecture.
