"Tokyo City View" is the observation deck located on the 52nd floor of Roppongi Hills Mori Tower. This floor has spacious and sophisticated observation deck where you can enjoy 360 degree view of Tokyo, and also there are having many chairs and sofas set so that visitors can enjoy some drinks and beautiful view as long as they want. It's really romantic to view the night scene from the lounge, drinking cocktails at night.
I made new version of my modern lounge set. The same foam core and wooden frame, but instead of suede this set is upholstered with grey Armani wool, aluminium legs and the backs are covered with sanded steel sheets for an ultra modern look. The set is made in 6th scale for FR dolls. Models are OOAK Lukas and Nadja.

I tried my best to do a set up that was up to it =)
Barbie is wearing a mini jumpuit by Ruca, shoes are repro Francie, necklace, handbag and bracelet are Barbie. Flower in the head is Dynamite Girl.
The sofa is vintage Barbie, with accessories from the Jonathan Adler sofa set and "High Definition" / "Interior Motive" Luxury Decor chairs from Fashion Royalty.
The side table is also vintage Barbie, and the accessories in it are re-ment (of course) ^_^

We were in suit hotel lobby with fantastic colour of orange sofa set for photo shoot. She's Apin Imun, pretty young girl :)
We used simple flash lighting on-camera + diffuser, head bounced to 60 degree up, with TTL BL mode (balancing light) against the strong backlight from outside window.
The field camera setting: 0EV, 1/250, ƒ/2.8, ISO 800, 50 mm, default Nikon's Portrait picture control, Auto WB with B1. Flash 1 x SB600 on camera + diffuser, tilt up bounced, -2 EV flash.

PERSONAL FUN FACT: Wow, wow wow!!! I am in absolute awe of this finely crafted living room set. My sister and I signed up from the Amazon Vine program in the fall of 2022. If you aren't familiar, it's basically an offer you get from Amazon to receive free products in exchange for a review (you have to have highly rated reviews to get into the program). In sixth months, I only ordered two things. I am not the kind of person who wants stuff just because it is free. It seems that good things always come in waves, because suddenly out of nowhere a bunch of cool stuff was listed back to back. Despite the fact that I didn't pay for this couch, I still felt guilty ordering it...since I had just gotten a few other Amazon Vine products. Then I had to rationalize with myself that it was a free set, that I would use a lot. There were two styles of fabric--plaid and this floral one. However, only the flower print was available through Vine. That worked out wonderfully for me, because it was the one I would have picked. When I look at this sofa set, I think of my Happy Family Grandma. Both my sister and I knew this would be a fun living room to use as a set for videos. But of course it was versatile in so many ways--great for any photo. When I studied the stock photos online and debated about whether or not to order this, I could tell it looked like it was wonderful quality. But I had no idea just how beautifully made it is, until we got it in the mail. The sheer weight of the pieces blew my mind. What's great about their density is that a larger doll can sit on the chairs or sofa without fear of tipping them. They are a little oversized for Barbie, which means they accommodate slightly larger dolls too! I also love the various textures--the woven base, the pearl toppers, and of course the fabric cushions. The majority of playline doll couches are solid plastic with molded features. That's why my sister and I were so obsessed with two cheap fabric living room sets we got at Big Lots as kids. However, those pale in comparison to the living room in this photo. The Big Lots sofas tip over all the time, and are so squishy they are almost shapeless. They are also fairly tacky in design. Now some might find this set gaudy, but it's just my style...it has a bit of a homemade flair to it, which I love!
UPDATE: Sadly as of the fall of 2023, I no longer have this awesome couch set. That is why the background/flooring doesn't match my other playset photos. It was long gone before I could reshoot it for my Flickr guide. We had a mini flood in our basement during the summer of 2023. A pipe wasn't fitted properly to the hot water heater, so pressure caused it to burst. Water sprayed everywhere! I did clean up the area immediately, but there was a lot more moisture in the air, even with a dehumidifier. This was in a plastic container quite a ways from where the flood was. But the lid wasn't fully secured on the container, so the moisture got inside. These pieces were made from a cardboard base with twine wrapped around it. It became a breeding ground for mold. By the time I realized what had happened a couple months later, it was too late. There was no way to properly clean the mold and save the set. Devastating! I didn't have this bagged like I usually do, because I was afraid of cramming the delicate details into a ziploc and potentially breaking them. I believe if I had this set in a sealed ziploc, the outcome may have been different. Most of the other items in the container were unaffected, except a couple of cardboard Ideal Jody backdrops (which luckily I could save).
