As former criminal prosecutors, we’ve been a part of our fair share of first offense DUI cases. Let us help you navigate this as your defense team and pursue the best outcome possible. Minimize fines and penalties with our experience fighting these cases.
Aggravated DUI Illinois
There are many classes of felonies. Each has a different maximum possible sentence in the Department of Corrections (DOC). Most felonies are probationable, however, meaning probation is a possible sentence and DOC time is not mandatory.
DUI Penalties
DUI penalties range in severity based on the circumstances of the case. We have advanced knowledge of these guidelines and will work tirelessly to pursue reduced charges or have them eliminated altogether.
Suspended License for DUI
A suspended license is part of the administrative penalty levied by the state when you are convicted of a DUI. The ranges vary based on key details of your case. We are intimately aware with the ins and outs of all the guidelines.
DUI vs. DWI in Illinois
In Illinois, these terms are interchangeable, but they essentially mean the same thing: getting caught while drinking or otherwise impaired behind the wheel. Whether it’s alcohol or drugs that caused the impairment, we can work with you to achieve the best outcome possible.

If you've been pulled over for drunk driving, an officer will conduct a series of field sobriety tests to see if you are drunk. Known as FST's, these sobriety tests include several exercises to determine a person's coordination, balance, and divided attention:
1. The Walk and Turn Test: This sobriety field test involves walking nine steps heel-to-toe in a straight line, turning around, and walking nine steps back. The officer watches the driver from three or four feet away and makes an assessment on the driver's physical capabilities.
2. The One Leg Stand Test: This is a test where the suspected drunk driver has to stand on one leg and count to 30 while keeping his hands down at his sides. Because of safety reasons, this type of test has to be performed on a hard, dry, non-slippery surface and should not be given to drivers who are more than sixty-five years of age, fifty pounds overweight, or people who have physical impairments that interfere with balance and coordination.
3. The Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus Test: This is a test where the officer holds a pen or similar object in front of the subject's eyes to determine whether she can follow it.
Field sobriety tests are highly subjective and you do not have to submit to these exercises. If you arrested anyways, make sure to search for experienced and professional DUI lawyers to help you with your case.

This generously sized canvas, luminous despite the sobriety of its palette, brings together two illustrious women on either side of the easel: Germaine de Staël and Élisabeth Vigée-Lebrun. The first, daughter of the Genevan Jacques Necker, finance minister of Louis XVI, ordered her portrait from the second, who had learned from her father, then from Joseph Vernet and Jean-Baptiste Greuze. Marie-Antoinette's favorite painter, she left Paris on the announcement of the Revolution and shared her life between Italy, London and Saint Petersburg. Dressed in the antique, Germaine de Staël here embodies the character she created for her novel Corinne ou l'Italie. By revealing both the strength and delicacy of Corinne, a talented poet and passionate lover, Vigée-Lebrun pays homage to the writer and philosopher, as well as to the independent spirit of the woman who, famous for the salon that held in Paris, never ceased to denounce the social constraints imposed on women.

Today, the 12th December 2013 is the 1000th consecutive day that I have not had an alcoholic drink.
It took me a long time to admit I was addicted to drink and an alcoholic - everyone around me knew before I did.
I still class myself as a "recovering alcoholic" and I am not afraid to admit it.
Life still throws shit at me every day but I am able to deal with it with out turning to drink.
