To learn more about atTAcK addiction:
Getting sober does not simply mean abstaining from alcohol or the drug of choice. Recovery and sobriety require various phases of treatment and therapy that affect a client emotionally, physically and psychologically. At Drug Treatment Centers in New Haven, they understand the complexities of addiction, and what it takes to get patients on the path to recovery.
Rarely can someone break the addiction cycle without proper professional intervention. Someone bound by chemical addiction may have begun the process as a recreational user. Life’s challenges, emotional or psychological issues may have influenced an individual to continue using alcohol or drugs as a means of providing an avenue of relief or escape. Chronically using a substance causes changes in the central nervous system, which then affects other body systems. The body comes to depend on receiving the substance on a regular basis in order to function.

well things got a little exciting around here.........
had 60 mph straight-line winds and the lake was like a quisinart,
we had a "brown out", never had one of those before..the light all worked at 1/2 power. luckily my neph was here (home) and had me unplug everything. apparently a brown-out is real bad for electronics, haha, who have thunk it, not me.. :)
then he saw the lake where a dock and a 26 foot cabin cruiser should have been,
it had pulled away from the 52 foot cedar dock it was tied to, flipping it over and dragging it almost bottoms-up,
the boat just blew sideways to the shore and rested, it was still attached to the dock.
we secured it stern and bow (in the lightening and rain) and its fine.
phew, not at all serious thank goodness :)
and Thanks Sunny, Gale and Mike!!

You can also search from quit drinking apps to see if you can use some tools to help. You may try other sober apps as the best sobriety app for you may be different than for someone else. If you truly just desire to be alcohol free one or two days a week there are other options you can try. You should consult your doctor and explain to him or her the issues you are having that you are having a problem quitting drinking even just for a day. your doctor may want you to explore some of the options.
