On my way out on Sunday I wandered along the side of the Highway Paddock. I spotted this pair snuggled up on the barbed wire fence.
After climbing all the way to the top of the nest tree, he must have been tuckered out with his efforts. Shortly after Mom flew in and gave lots of loving snuggles and preening, then flew off only to return with another reward for his accomplishment, she gave him a small rodent which he gulped down pretty quick! :)
Mom Barred Owl flew in to reassure the newly fledged baby and preened it for a few minutes before flying off to the nest to check on the other baby

When we pulled into our driveway these two were like this on the window perch. The sweetness is off the charts!
My beloved Mr. Snuggles, our loving dog who is heading for a thirteenth birthday next year. Precocious, sometime downright snarky with a looks like this one that convey how he feels about things. Posting this a day late as obligations yesterday kept me from posting for National Dog Day which is August 26.
