I am soaking wet and rather glad nobody was watching me while I was out with my camera enjoying the foot of snow we've gotten in the last 36 hours.

had a few days to kick back and have some fun.
but as much as i love the winter i long for the sun to come back and warm our bones : )
so stuck inside gave me a lot of time to dream of places new full of adventures of fairytales yet to be told.
Had taken off this day for a funeral and we got a dusting of snow so I grabbed my camera at first light and went out. This is just a little pond a friend built and on this morning, the water was like glass.
Back when I was still at NIU and Will was living in DeKalb, we got out the morning after a 13" snowfall to catch some action.

It’s lightly snowing now, but it will be totally gone or dirty by the time I leave for work tomorrow, so I’m posting this instead… my neighbourhood a couple of years ago. When it actually snowed on a day off so I could enjoy it without obligations.

Mai was not too impressed with this whole sledding business. Next time we need to find her a steeper run!
