Feeling secure while surrounded by twenty or more mallards this pintail duck was catching some Z-z-z-z's. His eyes were open/shut about 50% of the time while I was there.

During winter months the sun light is softer and more delicate. The setting sun here makes it even more so.

I was fascinated to see this crow clearly enjoying a snooze in the sunshine whilst perched on top of a fence at Languard Nature Reserve yesterday!
