A small bee fly, between 5 and 10mm, with iridescent golden colours. It had a pointy abdomen and sat with its abdomen pointing to the ground while its thorax was parallel to the ground. The hairs on its abdomen were quite long.
Normally it sat with its wings straight out from its body and tilted on an angle, but it moved its wings backward and flattened them allowing me to photograph some detail of the veins.
