black and white still life
This was shot during a lockdown in a makeshift 'home studio' using white sheets and decorating lamps to create shadows as a visual representation of the 'shadow' that addiction casts over people's lives. Inspired by still life work by Coppi Barbieri.
Firs Park became the home the Shire in 1921 after moving from their former ground, Merchiston Park in Bainsford which they had played on since 1907. Due to the prohibitive costs of improving facilities at the ground and in line with new regulations set by the Scottish Football Association, the club decided to leave Firs Park in the summer of 2008.

While the middle finger looks worse, the ring finger actually took most of the impact. I am hunting & pecking with my index finger right now.
This is a photo I shot with a 35mm Canon film camera back in college. I'd estimate the year to be 1991 or 1992. I did not develop the film (it was black and white) but made an 8x10 print in the darkroom.
