This is Ozzy. He's named after Ozzy Osbourne (although I think he is way too sweet to bite the head off a live bat). Ozzy was one of those pups who drew my eye immediately when I spied him.
At just under a year of age he's already had knee surgery which has him back to his speed-demon ways. Ozzy was calm when I met him but it sounds like he is a whirling dervish at home.
Ozzy's pedigree is made up of Havanese (the national dog of Cuba), and Shih Tzu (also called the Chrysanthemum Dog thought to originate in Tibet) along with some sort of terrier to hold those disparate genes together.
Unknown Artist (probably Venetian), Italian, 17th century
Oil on canvas
The dramatic play of light on the face and body, the formal yet elegant interpretation of the face and hands and bold application of paint present in this portrait are all characteristics found in late Renaissance art. The unknown painter has skillfully contrasted the white lace trimmed rochet (over-vest) against the rich red-purple of the cape, or mozetta. The clergyman's hat is painted in another brilliant splash of color. A large gem encrusted ring is prominent on the man's left hand. The inclusion of the small dog, with a color of bells, is characteristic of many portraits of the time.
Just playin' with my LG 2 and with Ritzy in my lap I tried to get a quick photo or two. She does NOT like the camera! I messed with the orginal photo in CameraBag 2. If she could see this image, I imagine she'd say, "This makes my nose look too big!"
Miss Mindee in her flannel "loveable" nightgown. I spent the day making her a few new nightys since some of her clothes must have shrunk. (or someone gained some weight over the summer) LOL
When we're on calls, or working through a difficult problem, discussing the office, or just bored, Hani and I tend to play the "stacking puppies" game we've developed over the last couple of months.
This is a pretty standard entry, wherein no additional objects are balanced with the puppies, but they are on a comical object. Now, the only question is will they give us more puppies?
