It can be really hard to explain internet friendships to people who don't have them.
This is a shot of Lol with a picture that Susan Sabo smalldogs went out and shot for her, printed and mailed to us. It's a picture of the house which featured as Buffy's home, and Susan went and did that after she read that Lol had discovered "The Buffy the Vampire Slayer" show, and was immersing herself in fandom. It's a fair bit of trouble to go to for people you haven't met irl.
Thanks smalldogs. I'd guess that you'd have cracked up laughing at her trying to read your writing... "Bubby slept here... Bussy... Bunny." and all the time I was shouting things like "Look at the house... don't you recognise it?" When she finally worked it out she was really amazed, and very pleased by the coolness factor. Sorry it's such a serious shot... I was going for the Alistair Cooke "Masterpiece Theatre" vibe. It's too cold to go outside and do action shots.
Anyhow if there's one thing I've realised during 2008 it's that internet friends will go to more than a fair bit of trouble for each other.
So I'd like to thank all of you, but some of you very special internet friends in particular.

another shot from my visit to the doctor's office yesterday. this one, for some reason, reminds me of this shot i posted a year ago almost to the day.
by the way, everything about this shot -- the angle, the processing, the desaturation -- was completely inspired by the work of smalldogs. i'm just sayin'.
I'd never seen a dog use a sidewalk grid as a place to do her business but since posting this on facebook I've learned that some people who live in the downtown areas such as Pittsburgh or New York do train their dogs to do this. I jokingly ask this lady if she had trained her dog to go on the grid and she said yes. At the time I wasn't sure if she was telling me the truth.
.... start to look like each other.
Susan and Tootles visited us from Vancouver today. Yesterday Tootles went to the doggie spa and got a weird hair cut. See below.
Sheila and I went to Vancouver today. On the way home we always stop above the Sea to Sky Highway so little Petrie can have a pee. The waterway in the background is Howe Sound. (See map)
I like this kind of diffuse light for shooting.
Pic taken after finding this dog sitting alone. A no house road so we assume he was dumped. Chinese Crested per Agency. The agency took over x picking him up on 01/19/24.
My roommate's friends brought over their gentle dogs on their way to travel to fun places this weekend.
Just a cute photo of our dog Mitzi the Westie.
