This is the funniest and craziest hunt we've ever done! During the hunt, Tommy wrote in the chat that he had found the golden poop! Suddenly people came and landed all around us, but it was a joke - tTHERE IS NO GOLDEN poop! But it inspired us to go back to the Sewer and shot this picture.

Haven't taken that many photos recently. I've been trying to watch more movies and books that I never opened after purchasing. Also working on finding more freelance jobs cause favs and views aren't paying bills (I wish that were the case tho...)
I "watched" this movie called 'Origin' but it was so mindnumpingly bad that I had to leave the theater after 45 minutes. A movie critic on RogerEberts website gave it a 4 out of 4 but the average movie-goer gave it 1-2 stars (I gave it 1/2 a star out of 5). I don't mind movies with a slow pace but this movie just had a terrible script.

Year Of No Light formed in 2001 in Bordeaux (Fr). With their first album, Nord, YONL have proven adept a shifting seamlessly between genres, balancing post-rock, sludge, somber psychedelics and crushing dark shoegaze.
In 2010, now backed by two drums, 3 guitars, the band released its second album, Ausserwelt, oscillating between drone, doom, post-rock, black metal and progressive rock.
Happened to see this totally macabre, gross and neglected old fountain, full of sludge and slime. UGH !! The water making a mist of yellow water was running over it’s face. It looked so bizarre and pitiful, I almost felt sorry for it. I thought it was worth a shot.

Taken in mid-May of 2024 on Wells West Road between Newcastle and Proffitt. We had to wait several days for hot sun to firm up the VERY muddy road after several days of severe weather turned it's normally dusty hard surface to slick, greasy sludge. Heavy torrential rains had driven all insects and spiders into deep cover and it took a day for them to reemerge, but the road wasn't yet passable so we spent two days grabbing shots along paved roads, staying off back dirt (mud) roads until things dried out.
This little looper had this blossom all to itself, where other blossoms along the road had a variety of small wasps and beeflies buzzing around... very elusive targets that in most cases buzzed off just as I was getting ready to snap a pic. This guy ignored me completely... was a "sitting duck", an easy target. Two small bits of "frass" indicates it has been munching in that spot for awhile.
This is a center crop of an anamorphic image taken with a Nikon D3500, Nikkor-H 85mm f1.8 lens focused at infinity, with an Iscorama anamorphic lens on the 85mm... also focused at infinity, with a Sigma 1.6x achromatic closeup lens on the isco. Lighting provided by a Nikon SB-20 Speedlight shot through a diffuser made from the bowl that comes in a "Healthy Choice" frozen dinner.

This duckpond is just along the road from our house - it looks quite scenic here but unfortunately whole sections of it are full of litter and sludge. Sadly, people don't always appreciate or care for the areas of natural beauty around here.

The Great Barrier Reef is the world's largest coral reef system composed of over 2,900 individual reefs and 900 islands stretching for over 2,300 kilometres over an area of approximately 344,400 square kilometres. The reef is located in the Coral Sea, off the coast of Queensland, Australia, separated from the coast by a channel 100 miles wide in places and over 200 feet deep. The Great Barrier Reef can be seen from outer space and is the world's biggest single structure made by living organisms. This reef structure is composed of and built by billions of tiny organisms, known as coral polyps. It supports a wide diversity of life and was selected as a World Heritage Site in 1981. CNN labelled it one of the seven natural wonders of the world in 1997. Australian World Heritage places included it in its list in 2007. The Queensland National Trust named it a state icon of Queensland in 2006.
A large part of the reef is protected by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, which helps to limit the impact of human use, such as fishing and tourism. Other environmental pressures on the reef and its ecosystem include runoff, climate change accompanied by mass coral bleaching, dumping of dredging sludge and cyclic population outbreaks of the crown-of-thorns starfish. According to a study published in October 2012 by the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, the reef has lost more than half its coral cover since 1985, a finding reaffirmed by a 2020 study which found over half of the reef's coral cover to have been lost between 1995 and 2017, with the effects of a widespread 2020 bleaching event not yet quantified.
The Great Barrier Reef has long been known to and used by the Aboriginal Australian and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and is an important part of local groups' cultures and spirituality. The reef is a very popular destination for tourists, especially in the Whitsunday Islands and Cairns regions. Tourism is an important economic activity for the region, generating over AUD$3 billion per year. In November 2014, Google launched Google Underwater Street View in 3D of the Great Barrier Reef.
A March 2016 report stated that coral bleaching was more widespread than previously thought, seriously affecting the northern parts of the reef as a result of warming ocean temperatures. In October 2016, Outside published an obituary for the reef; the article was criticized for being premature and hindering efforts to bolster the resilience of the reef. In March 2017, the journal Nature published a paper showing that huge sections of an 800-kilometre stretch in the northern part of the reef had died in the course of 2016 due to high water temperatures, an event that the authors put down to the effects of global climate change. The percentage of baby corals being born on the Great Barrier Reef dropped drastically in 2018 and scientists are describing it as the early stage of a "huge natural selection event unfolding". Many of the mature breeding adults died in the bleaching events of 2016–17 leading to low coral birth rates. The types of corals that reproduced also changed, leading to a "long-term reorganisation of the reef ecosystem if the trend continues."
The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Act 1975 demands every five years an Outlook Report on the Reef's health, pressures, and future. The last report was published in 2019. In March 2022, another mass bleaching event has been confirmed, which raised further concerns about the future of this reef system, especially when considering the possible effects of El Niño weather phenomenon.

"Wartime bomber in the Markermeer identified as Short Stirling BK716
Recovery experts have identified a Second World War bomber lying on the bottom of the Markermeer near Amsterdam, resolving a 12-year-long mystery. Defence ministry specialists are working with a private contractor to retrieve the wreckage of the RAF Short Stirling BK716, which was shot down in March 1943 with all seven crewmen on board. The plane was long believed to be another Short Stirling, the BK710, based on forensic examination of an aluminium panel. It was first discovered in 2008 when a piece of its landing gear was brought up with the anchor of a stranded boat. The volunteer Aircraft Recovery Group contacted the relatives of the BK710’s crew and began a campaign to recover the wreckage and bury the remains of the airmen, which included installing a memorial on Marken island. But 10 years later the discovery of a cigarette case and a wooden mascot prompted a new investigation that identified the BK716 as a more likely candidate. Recovery The recovery operation began on August 31 and is part of a programme funded by the Dutch government to recover around 30 aircraft which are believed to have human remains on board. A spokesman for Almere city council said an engine part had been found during the first week of the search with the plane’s serial number stamped into it, establishing its identity beyond doubt. ‘The municipality of Almere is pleased with this result,’ said Hilde van Garderen, alderman responsible for culture. ‘It is confirmation for the relatives of the crew members.’ The pieces of the plane are thought to be strewn over an area of the lake bed measuring 75 metres squared, equivalent to nearly two football pitches. The sludge on the lake bed is being systematically dredged and sifted to reveal any objects larger than eight millimetres. The operation is expected to last around six weeks altogether."

It will be k-k-cold this weekend. The temperature can drop to -8 degrees and that means of course only one thing: skating! After a few nights of good frost we could skate on February 13, 2021 at the Loosdrechtse Plassen. Every effort was made to ensure that we could skate. Plassenschap Loosdrecht has issued a sailing ban for the Loosdrechtse Plassen. After an extra night of frost, the ice is perfect. Beautiful black smooth ice without weak spots. Finally perfect ice to tie up the irons for skating enthusiasts. There can be wonderful kilometers of skating between the peat area and vast frozen lakes. You experience nature in places where you normally can not come. The northwestern part of the Loenderveense Plas is also referred to as Terra Nova. In this part of the Loenderveense Plas, experiments have been carried out in recent years to improve water quality by removing the bream fish. This fish accumulates the sludge layer that is formed at the bottom of the ponds by over-fertilization. Only a few plants and animals can live in this muddy water. Although already impressive results can be seen from the bream removal - the whole lake has turned from muddy to clear water, which also means that the water is freezing faster than other puddles. The peatland is a paradise for skaters from the west of the Netherlands, because it is usually the first large-scale area where you can skate on natural ice. Dutch also love Kite ice skating. This is the sport of sailing is popular in the Netherlands.
Today 13th of February 2021 we got the opportunity to go ice skating on real ice instead of going to an ice rink. A good freeze only comes from a win in the climatic lottery. Thus the chance for our Dutch to be wild adventurers on their own land comes only every few years. We glide across solidified, frosted lakes with fish frozen into the ice. Besides skating on the Loosdrechtse Plassen there is also Ice surfing, ice sailing and kite skating. The Loosdrechtseplassen in the winter are a real skater’s paradise. Kite ice skating is very popular in the Netherlands. Photo of Samantha and ice sailors on the Loenderveensche plassen.
Having seen this loco earlier heading up to Hindlow Quarry with a train of loaded stone, we now see the result of the limestone sludge that covered the loco. 66620 is running round its train, which is near Great Rocks Jcn, and is about to pull up near Peak Forest Signal Box before heading back to its train.

Hiding in plain sight.
You insult me in my home, you're forgiven this time
Things go well, your eyes dilate, you shake, and I'm high?
Look in my eyes deep and watch the clouds change with time
20 hours won't print my picture milk carton side
Carton side, carton side, carton side
Call me up congratulations ain't the real why
There's no pressure beside brilliance let's say by day 9
Endless corporate ignorance lets me control time
By the way, by the way,
Once again you see an in, discolored skin gives you away
So afraid you kindly gurgle, out a date for me
Now the body of one soul I adore wants to die
You have always told me you'd not live past 25
I say stay long enough to repay all who cause strife
Once again you see an in, discolored skin gives you away
So afraid you kindly gurgle, out a date for me
A "Gnome-be-gone" trundles out from the primordial ooze and sludge, leaving a trail of muddy footprints.
