Happy Sliders Sunday!

I rotated my photo from today’s Smile on Saturday oil on water and added another shot from that session for a layer of blue oil bubbles. My first attempt at layers. : )

Soft focus to give the scene a dreamy feel, sliding around the sliders for light, shadows, vibrancy, white & black levels, end result is this. HSS!

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !!

Today is a black & white day at Color My World Daily and we celebrate Sliders Sunday.

So here is my contribution to these 2 fabulous groups. And since it has been a very long time we saw a picture with my lensball, I decided that today is the day for it ! And why not some selective color to make this picture more suitable for the Sliders Sunday Group.

I hope you like it !! See you later my friends !!

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and healthy!! And see you soon on Flickr !!

Happy (Sliders) Sunday, Everyone!

Bitte verwenden Sie keines meiner Fotos, ohne meine schriftliche Zustimmung, sie sind ©Copyright geschützt. Sie erreichen mich über Flickr, Danke!

A place that has also become what this photo depicts as a result of the two wars and their consequences.

Built as a lung sanatorium, it is ideally situated in the Brandenburg landscape on a lake. There is a small chapel on the site that received a new roof in 2015, which was destroyed by a fire set by Vandals. Now it is exposed to further decay without protection from the weather. We were registered there as a Flickr group.

I wish you a cheerful weekend, the sun invites you for a walk, be mindful dear friends, keep your distance and please wear a mask:

Happy (Sliders) Sunday, Everyone!

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !

Today is a black and white day at Color my World Daily and we celebrate Sliders Sunday.

As you can see, my today’s picture is another version of a picture taken for the reflection theme a Macro Mondays. Usually I take several concepts in one session and I end up with a ton of pictures I never post (or rarely). Luckily for me I, we have Sliders Sunday !! So here we go, with some Photoshop work and color editing, this is what we get. A couple, sailing under the almost full moon. I hope you will like it my friends !!

Yesterday, I had a very crazy (but very successful) day. Unfortunately, I had not enough time to answer all your comments … I apologize for that and I will try to catch up as soon as possible.

Mucho, mucho amor for you all !! Have a beautiful day !

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!!

#800

This is the 800th photo I show on Flickr. 2021 also marks my 8th year on Flickr (I became a member in 2013), and, as most of you know, I've also re-discovered photos I've taken during a trip to Usedom (Baltic Sea) back in 2013. A nice coincidence, isn't it? So I decided to choose a photo from that trip as my 800th upload. I've learned a lot about photography during these past eight Flickr years. Back then, for instance, whenever there were clouds on a day I wanted to go out to take photos, I used to think "Stupid clouds, I want a blue sky." Nowadays, whenever I go out to take photos, and the sky is blue, blue, and only blue, I think "Nice, but I wish there were at least a few clouds." ;) So I had not been happy about the clouds on the day I took this photo, but I'm happy about them in retrospect, because they add such a nice drama to the image. Isn't it a good thing that we never stop learning?

Like my previous upload, this is another re-edit of a photo I've already uploaded to Flickr years ago. It's also a slider, because it's Sunday :) Processed in DXO PhotoLab 4, Lightroom, Color Efex, and Luminar AI – and the main difference to the original photo (please check out the first comment), apart from a bolder, more colourful processing, is the swallow. Which I've borrowed from another photo taken on that day at this same jetty at the Kölpinsee, a small lake 200 metres behind the Baltic Sea shoreline. This photo had the better, more harmonious point of view, the other photo, taken from a lower angle of view (so you couldn't really sea much of the lake) had the swallow, so why not combine both :)

Happy Sliders Sunday, Everyone, and stay safe!

😄 Happy Sliders Sunday 😄

#ChristmasGarden

Christmas Garden 2019 at the Botanic Garden in Berlin. The illuminated glasshouse in my photo is the Mittelmeerhaus (Mediterranean greenhouse) which can also be booked for weddings and other events.

Since one of the most important ingredients that make a scene look Christmassy – snow – is obviously missing (nothing unusual in my region, February and March are the coldest winter months and the ones more likely to bring snow than December), I hit the sliders in various programmes to add a more festive atmosphere (and also to do something about the somewhat quirky-looking colours from the many illuminations). For the "starry night" texture in the sky, I've used one of the "Dirt and Scratches" filters in Analog Efex; if I remember correctly, it's a texture from the "Eroded" filter palette. I hope you like this little slider:)

Wishing you a Happy Fourth Sunday of Advent and Happy Sliders Sunday!

When summer makes way for autumn, all that is left of it are memories of colours, sunshine, warmth... memories that can sparkle like stardust. Or so ;) Anyways, that's what I thought when I noticed the colourful light reflections on a few petals of a bunch of purplish rose coloured Asters that stood next to my living room window two and a half weeks ago. The enchanting light play caused by a decorative glass element in the shape of a huge diamond that I keep on my window sill instantly caught my eye, and it also felt like a farewell greeting of summer, so I grabbed the LX100 and took a few captures. Slide-ified for Sunday in Analog Efex where I used the Zoom Blur filter, a vignette and one of the Photo Plate "Concrete" filters to create a dreamy, starry, outer space like effect. I also did some dodging and burning in PS and highlighted the colours and details on the illuminated petals in Luminar AI.
