A telephoto landscape , looking south from Newlands Corner over Surrey heading for West Sussex . They say "Leafy Surrey " and there is no shortage of trees in this shot . As always , taking photos from Newlands Corner always has the same issue - the shots are always into the sun , sometimes they work and sometimes they don't !!
Looking at the wake behind the ferry, I held the camera still and snapped off twenty pictures in about fifteen seconds; then I combined them in this image with a single stripe for each time slice. (Time goes left to right here.)
lemons [sour as they may be]
fruit doesn't seem to be my best thing.
different papers, some inside under the sunlamp, some outside under the sun, some a combination.
**I think since the elections I've been in a creative slump. I avoid the news, but alas....
after spending some time looking at the photostreams of others, I've decided to go back to playing.
and I need to cull my contacts. I simply can't catch up.
I'll remove people who haven't posted lately, and contacts I really haven't had any contact with.
it will make me sad. there are such wonderful artists out there.
after the culling I'll have to start adding again.
Stone ground wheat? Sorry, anyway, ran across these interesting rocks in Joshua Tree National Park. I like the way they all appear to be sliced up and laying side-by-side. Then again, I was starting to get really hungry at this point in my hike! Just a little sliding on this one. HSS!!

The LS&I 3 Tilden job leaves the yard at Eagle Mills West with a few last rays of afternoon sunlight shining on the remaining pair of operational U30Cs.

Image was not done at the usual and popular South Tufa area, but more or less at the opposite side of the lake, on the North shore. The access is not that easy. First you drive on an endless dirt road and than you walk about 30 minutes to finally end up in a swampy area where you try dodging the deep treacherous spots, more or less not very successfully, to not end up knee deep in the salty foul smelling mud.
Interested in a photo tour through the American Southwest? I can help you with it and make you come back with unique shots.

The growth and life of spring caught both figuratively and literally as layers of colorful flowers and grasses bask in the golden light of a setting sun.

The Slice of Reality work at Greenwich, London... An old dredger 'sliced' by sculptor Richard Wilson in 2002. Upload from a March night shoot in London with Rob / ZZAPBACK www.flickr.com/photos/zzapback/
Good afternoon, everyone! Hope you’re all doing well. This past weekend, I caught these fleeting slices of light hitting the buildings along the river. Converting them to black and white and focusing solely on the light felt like the perfect choice. Hope you enjoy!
This picture consists of 12 single exposures taken over the course of one hour and later combined in Photoshop.
