I was redoing an older shot that had this Mutant Gang punk in it, I figured they were such a cutie that they deserved a second look.
With just four hopper at the draw bar, Kankakee Beaverville & Southern's 703 and 704 return from Lafayette, IN and are about to cross the diamond of the TP&W at Sheldon, IL. Less than thirty minutes earlier, the "Tip Up" went west. A meet here would have been icing on the cake!
It occurred to me when reviewing this image, photography is all about the time slices. If this photographer would have been here just 30 days later rather than an image of an amazing sunset she you have captured a tone of Manatees. If it was 5 months later, she would have a much of Dolphins. That exact spot could have so many different options it all depends on when you pressed that shutter.
When I took this picture a few days ago, it was midnight. The light was awesome. The blue hour is so long now (one or two hours), a dream for photographers ! :) Midnight sun is coming soon here in Iceland.

Ever since I came across this style of Portuguese pottery I have wanted to photograph some pieces little realising how great a challenge the reflections would be! by using my largest softbox a diffusion screen and placing the saucer about 2.5 meters away from the light I was able to get most of the way there, of course one of the basil leaves masks the main highlight!
