There seemed to be a lot of residential and/or hotel high-rises in downtown San Diego, much like Vancouver, B.C. -- just not as close together.

Huge hotel complex next to the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando and right on International Drive. We stayed here during our trip to Orlando for the Fashion Royalty Convention. Even got some pictures of the little lizards that are all about!

The Financial District Skyline views are why property on Telegraph Hill is so expensive!
The pyramid is illuminated at night and can be seen from as far as 20 miles away. The aircraft warning light flashes every 1.5 seconds. The point of the pyramid is 40 feet from the base.
Empire State Building (1931) at 350 Fifth Avenue is 1454 ft (443 m) with mast. It became the world's tallest building and is NYC's tallest skyscraper pending completion of One, World Trade Center. The timing of its construction (it began in March 1930) was unfortunate, coming soon after the Wall St Crash, and for a while it was known as the Empty State Building.
