What made me happy today:
- Biking through town and watching tourists enjoying their rented bikes, looking at the channels, taking pictures of eachother;
- Sitting in the garden in the sun, reading the paper;
- Making pictures of our own sky scrapers and thinking of this summer when, the three of us, will (re)visit....New York!!!

Der Tyrannosaurus gehörte zu den größten landlebenden Fleischfressern aller Zeiten – das größte nahezu vollständige Exemplar „Sue“ (Katalognummer FMNH PR2081) misst 12,8 Meter Länge und ist an den Hüften 4 Meter hoch. Gewichtsschätzungen verschiedener Wissenschaftler variieren beträchtlich und reichen von mehr als 7,2 bis weniger als 4,5 Tonnen, wobei die neuesten Schätzungen zwischen 5,4 und 6,8 Tonnen liegen. Tyrannosaurus rex war größer als der gut bekannte Allosaurus aus dem Oberjura und etwas kleiner als die Karnivoren Spinosaurus und Giganotosaurus aus der frühen Oberkreide.
The Tyrannosaurus was one of the largest terrestrial carnivores of all time - the largest nearly complete copy "Sue" (catalog number FMNH PR2081) measures 12.8 meters in length and at the hips is 4 feet tall. Weight estimates by various researchers vary considerably, ranging from more than 7.2 to less than 4.5 tonnes, the latest estimates are from 5.4 to 6.8 tons. Tyrannosaurus rex was larger than the well-known Allosaurus from the Upper Jurassic and slightly smaller than the carnivores Spinosaurus and Giganotosaurus from the Early Cretaceous.
