Since the last class, there really hasn't been any clouds. It was either cloudy, so really sunny. This was the best I could do for a sky scape. I should have waited until sunset I think.
My intention with this photo was to capture a moody and dramatic photo using stark contrasts and silhouettes. DuChemin says "Stronger color contrast introduces stronger visual mass to the contrasting element, pulling the eye with greater strength. It can also give the image a greater sense of depth..." (L18). The bright white of the sun acts as that major contrasting element and really pulls the eye from the rest of the photo. This is one of my favorites from this project, I like how the bare trees help prevent a flat, boring sky-scape and instead provide extra interest. Editing: Cropping, sharpness, contrast.
