Actually I think it's called the Hunter's Moon. Not quite full on this night, though. That would happen on the night of October 16th ... three days later.
We've lost almost all our snow so at the ski hill they have the snow guns going. Temps are below 30* so it's sticking on the hills.
Happy Fence Friday and have a Blessed weekend.

April showers will bring May flowers? Oh I hope so! I have the worst winter blues I have had in a long time. Please spring, come soon!

There is a kaleidoscope of colorful sunsets that take place over Lake Cascade. As Idaho was embracing for the rains from the tropical storm (downgraded Hurricane Hillary), the sun was barely able to filter through the cloud layer to create a beautiful sunset.

Stopped out at the ski hill and they were grooming the hills today in our snow storm. Happy Fence Friday all.
Going different directions and loving every moment of it!
While taking this image, I was up above this scene on a pair of cross country skiis. The only thing missing is a pair of snowshoes!
Saturday our temperatures were 50° and I went for a bike ride. Our ski hill just behind our house to the north was their last day and they always make a water hole for the kids to have a good time skiing through the water or sinking and getting plenty wet. I stopped and took a few pictures. This guy made it through perfect. Fun times and crazy kids. Let me tell you this if they had done that when I was younger and that age I would’ve gone through that too or at least tried.
It´s now almost four weeks past winter solstice and sunrise at 10.49am, the daylight hours are growing longer day by day.

Blue Mt. is a lovley place to walk around expecially at Christmas when it turns into an enchanted village of lights. Can't wait for those ski hills to open!

This photo was taken on the fall ride on the ski lift at Calabogie Peaks in Ontario.

I have taken so many pictures of this ranch and all its various buildings. Many were in the fall and countless were in winter when it was under a blanket of snow. I can't wait to see it when spring bursts forth.
People who have been following me for a while might remember that mountain behind where you can see the ski slopes of Harper Mountain ski area. They have just closed down for the year; their last days of skiing were just this last weekend.

What a glorious day to be in the mountains! It was 23*C on the Lake Louise ski hill and there wasn't a cloud in the sky.
In the foreground is an electric fence that is meant to keep wild animals separated from humans. We were told there were sightings that day of a mother grizzly and her cubs beyond the fence but we didn't see them.
Lake Louise lies at the base of Mount Victoria and is fed by glacial runoff from Victoria Glacier. The glacial silt suspended in the waters gives Lake Louise its bright turquoise hue.
The ski resort in the Blue Mountains is known as "The Village" With the fall colours and the green ski runs the views are so fantastic.
