Sketches and words, my attempt at being like Da Vinci. The sketches and words are unrelated. The words are the lyrics to anime/video game songs.
This is my version of the December Virtual Sketch Date photo. Didn't get it done in time to submit it, though. :-( Winsor & Newton watercolours (only four colours - Winsor Blue, Permanent Rose, Winsor Yellow, Burnt Umber) on Saunders Waterford NOT paper, 9.5x6in.
This is a sketch for a plush I'm doing of Karolin, Eva of Effunia's little sister. She is a real character with a lot of personality! I'll post more as I get her finished.
Sketching with light is the way I've conceived working in photography. Rarely has the outcome approached this closely to what I envisioned for this style of work.
The next day David suggested we practice painting people. Hmmm. Well, I will post up my two pages anyway, since I do want to record the great time we had, and how much I learned from my friend.

I was taken aback by the warm welcome I received when I reached Stad Amsterdam. The first impression of a friendly and considerate team, composed of both ships's crew and TV guests, was to stay with me for the whole trip.
I was lucky to arrive on one of Lex's rare days off. No sooner had I been shown around the ship, he and Redmond took Hans Witte and I to lunch in Montevideo. This sketch was made at a restaurant in the Ciudad Vieja on 23rd October.
