On the left is my box filled with my travelers watercolor kit, brushes, pens blah blah blah.... and on the right is a more minimalist kit that's usually in my purse......
This was a delightfully dynamic 5 minute pose and it seemed a shame to waste it on what felt like a failed attempt at using white crayon on black paper (though in retrospect I quite like that sketch too), so I quickly switched to my more familiar setup of black charcoal on A3 newsprint. I had somewhere between 2 and 3 minutes left by the time I started this sketch.
After the session I realised that I'd incorrectly labelled this and the subsequent sketches, because this was the 11th pose rather than the 10th (I didn't label my other sketch of the same pose at all until I got home).
Biro futuristc sketch.
From an early age I was always sketching and doodling cars and futuristic scenes. I carried on this 'habit' during all my early jobs. These are some doodles I did while working as a call centre agent in the mid 1990's. Something to keep my mind going.
The doodles are mostly in Biro so some of the pages have turned yellow with age.
