Blog post "Pencil to Digital (4th Time)" here: wp.me/p4zFT8-5PV

The weather during the 15 days over the landscape just outside Barbezieux. Nature is happy with the humidity, drops of rain, and contribute to the watercolor.

La météo de la quinzaine sur la campagne autour de Barbezieux. La nature semble tout à fait satisfaite. de fines goutellettes de pluie viennent apporter leur contribution à l'aquarelle.

Sketch by Suede for Bombingart

rough sketches for some of the bag art for Puddle! I'm very happy to be able to contribute this year.

Thought I'd stick up a few scans from my sketchbooks, old and new...

J'ai demandé à la Présidente du bureau de vote si je pouvais faire un croquis... elle m'a accordé 5-10 minutes pas plus. Mise en couleur de retour à la maison.

I asked the President of the polling station if I could do a sketch ... she gave me 5-10 minutes no more. Colored back at home.

Exchange sketch for the homie HUEMS

This is a sketch of my sons name. I find that when I'm trying to develop my style it sometimes really good to do other words as it helps to break out of a rut that you can often get into with youur own.

I want to start adding more sharp edges and straight lines to my usual flowing, swingy letters, i feel it gives it a different dynamic and some more strength.

I like how these letters sit and balance together, I think I might paint a few Jack pieces for the little guy, maybe he can help me fill :)

My Daughter is a very skilled artist (yes, I am a proud and boastful parent!). I am constantly amazed that she can take the visions from her mind and recreate them on paper and canvas.

A food sketch crawl at Yum Cha Restaurant in Central. The bunny dumplings were cute and delicious. By the time I finished the initial blocking, two of the four bunnies were already consumed!

第一次特登嚟飲茶畫點心。我對住一碟兔仔蝦餃坐,打好初稿,其中兩隻兔仔已經俾人食咗落肚,佢哋的確係好好食嘅。

First sketches and models for the Time Machine, a new interactive art project created by Pataphysical Studios.

In this brainstorm session, each team member sketched out their own ideas, then discussed them with the group, to design our upcoming time travel experience together.

Next, we plan to create a composite design with some of these ideas, to integrate them into a single blueprint.

To be continued ...

Underdog marker and sharpie sketch

Such wonderful reference photographs!

The yellow is a bit too much. Done with a squirrel mop - feels like I handled watercolors like pastels!

Deus par Sued' - 2s Club

I recently decided to give sketching a go again after a 16 year break! I scribble the odd idea for my day job but never proper sketching like this.

I used a tripod and remote to take the shot with my 60D's flip out screen helping me to frame it up, the sketch was a good subject to pre-focus on so that I could hold the pencil at the same point.

So this image is a little self centred really. My photo of me sketching from my photo of my daughter. All about me!!

Sketch on my iPhone with my finger using Paper FiftyThree: not easy: need to try a stylus on my iPad.

Page 2 of my new moleskine sketchbook.

Aug 14th 2006

It is really difficult for me to show any of my sketches because they are so quick and rough. I don't like to do a lot of preplanning for my prints. My drawing abilities aren't really all that, but I am sketching every day now to improve them and keep the ideas flowing.

I am too scared to put it on the moleskin community that I lurk on.
