The Mountain Ranger Battalion non-contracted cadets participate in the Cadet Command Fitness Assessment (CCFA), consisting of 1-minute pushups, 1-minute situps, and 1-mile run. All non-contracted cadets who wish to contract will have to pass the CCFA.

Staff members of One Legion 1st BN, 3rd US INF REG, (The Old Guard) validated the Squad PT Competition this morning on JBM-HH, Jan. 25, 2017. Events in the Squad PT Competition included 150 Chin-ups as a group, 450 Air Squats as a group, a rope climb, a casket relay, 250 Pushups and 250 Situps as a group, and a run around the base carrying 40 pound rucks. Other squads of One Legion 1st BN, 3rd US INF REG, (The Old Guard) will participate at a later date in this competition and the squad with the fastest time will win.
