More than 100 junior Nebraska National Guard Airmen and Soldiers came together Aug. 3, 2019, at the Greenlief Training Site near Hastings, Nebraska for a friendly competition. The Recruit Sustainment Program versus Student Flight Challenge consisted of a 5-kilometer ruck march, obstacle course and a modified Army physical fitness test. Seventeen teams of trainees from the Nebraska Air National Guard's Student Flight and the Nebraska Army National Guard’s Recruit Sustainment Program (RSP) battled to represent their military branch and earn the top team honor. U.S. Army National Guard Soldiers and noncommissioned officers from the six New England states, New Jersey, and New York perform the sit-up portion of the Army Physical Fitness Test of the Region 1 Competition Best Warrior Competition at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., April 25, 2017 Fourteen Soldiers are competing in the three-day event, April 25-27, 2017, which features timed events, including urban warfare simulations, a 12-mile ruck march, land navigation, and the Army Physical Fitness Test. The two winners will go on to compete in the 2017 Army National Guard Best Warrior Competition to be named the Army Guard's best-of-the-best and earn the title of the Soldier and Noncommissioned Officer of the Year. U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers from the 333rd Military Police Brigade had the opportunity to attend a Fit Camp at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey June 2-16, 2018, hosted by the 336th MP Battalion. The battalion provided the Soldiers with training, coaching and mentorship for the duration of the Fit Camp with the goal of improving the Soldiers’ physical fitness and educating them on proper nutrition, injury prevention and ways to incorporate exercise into their daily lives.

Baby can sit up like this all day if he wants. We can try to push him over, it takes quite a shove to knock him down. He balances very well like this. We think he resembles a meercat.

Members of the 817th Sapper Company arrive in Zodiak boats on the opposite side of the Pipestem Lake outside of Jamestown, ND. After crossing the lake the Soldiers have more tasks to complete as part of their competition. This was part of the unit's first Sapper Stakes Competition on July 14th, 2012.

North Star candidates do as many situps as possible in three minutes during the BLM Fire and Aviation Fitness Challenge on May 21, 2018.
On the first day of training the North Star Fire Crew candidates take the physical training test. The North Star physical training test conforms to the BLM Fire and Aviation Fitness Challenge standards.
The BLM Fire Operations Fitness Challenge provides a common system by which BLM firefighters can measure current fitness, establish fitness goals, track fitness improvement, and receive recognition for their efforts. The fitness challenge encourages and recognizes achievement in physical fitness by BLM firefighters. The fitness challenge is voluntary, but BLM firefighters are encouraged to participate.
