Heute mal verkostet: Bunnahabhain - An Cladach
Nase:
- Kalt - ranzig, sehr alkoholisch stechend
- Warm - Trockenfrüchte, Aprikose, Rosinen, schwere Süße wie Butterkaramell
Mund: Zuerst süßes, weiches Karamell, dann alkoholische Schärfe welche einem Hauch Jod und Salz Platz macht, am Ende kommt das süße Karamell wieder durch und bleibt
Abgang: Lang anhaltende Butterkaramellnote, man spürt den Alkohol bis tief runter in die Speiseröhre
Fazit: Ein wenig zu viel Alkoholdominanz für meinen Geschmack, die Trockenfrüchte in der Nase und das Karamell im Mund sind aber Klasse!

Some of the fine single malts on offer in Teutcher's pub in the West End. They have a game you can pay to play, called The Hoop of Destiny. It's like hoop-la at the fairground, where you get so many rings to throw, and try to get them over an object to win it, but here it is a dram of the whisky you win.
Bought a pack of small Glenmorangie bottles the other day. I like the original Glenmorangie so it will be interesting to try the other versions.

I'm part of our company's brand passion team, and this year company is focusing on scotch, in their scotch unleashed campaign. During the weekend i took some picture of a really good friend of mine.
The distillery is owned by Diageo. It's at one of the coldest places in the UK, and holds a number of cold temperature records. It's in the Cairngorms National Park, and the distillery is also the highest working distillery in Scotland. It's also close to the geographic centre point of Scotland. And the whisky is good too.
I had originally planned another shot of this whisky but I ran out of batteries for my Speedlight. I had to bring out my trusty old mini maglight instead.
Update: The glass is a handblown Orrefors Intermezzo. There is a blue drop of glass inside the the thick bottom (not a rock Sharona).

Word from the White House appears to suggest that injection of cleaning product may be effective in treating covid-19. Well, I'll stick to the old nasty - single malt, a cure for all known ills. Apart from headache. And liver disease. And chronic alcoholism. And..well, I like it, so there.
