Welcome to the Virtual Aquarium. This is one of a set of pictures specifically intended to be viewed as a whole, in slideshow form.

Beyond being a group of pictures, I am conducting an experiment here. I have always noticed that watching fish has a calming and soothing effect on me as well as others. Please come as often as you wish, especially when you are feeling tense or need to relax for a moment, and escape your concerns for a minute or three. Pictures will be added, omitted and rearranged periodically, so it might be different the next time you visit.

I would appreciate you taking a moment to comment as to how you were effected by the aquarium at any given time. Please leave your notes and thoughts with the set, rather than on "individual" items. (That's okay too, but I am very interested to know your feelings about the whole!)

In How Tun Woods this afternoon.these buds have grown to four times the size they were a week ago.

Built in 1769 and expanded in 1786, this Moravian-style building was constructed as the Single Brothers' Home for the Moravian settlement of Salem. The building was later modified in the 19th and 20th Centuries, before being returned to its late 18th Century appearance during the restoration of Old Salem in the mid-20th Century. The building features a side-gable roof, with an older wing featuring a red brick exterior, half-timbering, six-over-six double-hung windows, a shed awning at the first floor, a rear log barn, and a newer wing featuring a red brick exterior and arched bays. The building is a contributing structure in the Old Salem Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated a National Historic Landmark in 1966.
