'The Single Beech also know as the lone, or lonely beech, is the highest tree in the Cotswolds also at 317m. There is a fine 360 degree view from here and you can really appreciate the open aspects of this hilltop landscape. The Memorial Wall surrounds the tree, with plaques in memory of those who have been particularly fond of Cleeve Common.

Cleeve Common is the largest common in the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is also the highest point on the Cotswolds at 330m. The Common is a conservation area and Site of Special Scientific Interest for its geology, habitats and botany and it contains a wealth of archaeological interest, including three Scheduled Monuments. It is looked after by Cleeve Common Trust.

A duck....

....or at least I assume this was a duck.

From last December, the light was amazing.

A single rose can be my garden... a single friend, my world.

Brought home a bouquet from Trader Joe's today! Having fun with artificial light!!

just now, WOW! I see you enjoy my images as much as I enjoy making them!

Fiber optic lighting systems transmit beams of light from a single, centralised halogen or metal halide lamp through glass or plastic fibers.

The densely packed bundles of fibers are twisted and drawn through an outer jacket to dramatically increase the amount of light that reaches the outlets.

This is a close-up detail... MACRO!!!

They still fascinate me but I am less fond of those that change colours, I prefer mono.

Thanx you very much for your time, visit, comments and awards..., M, (*_*)

UP QWCEW 18 splits one of the intermediate searchlight masts between Thermal and Mecca on UP's Yuma Subdivision. As UP's double tracking efforts have extended east all the way from the Salton Sea to Niland, this section remains single track with searchlights - for now.

Einsam, im Sonnenlicht, steht er allein im Wasser des Sees. Keine Artgenossen um ihn herum. Wie traurig!

Lonely, in the sunlight, he stands alone in the water of the lake. No conspecifics around him. How sad!
