Shoot as a test with Topcor-S 5cm f2 lens. A LTM lens from late fifties (1958). Short flange distance make use of focusing helicoids a breeze.
This is a part of another series of flower photos I'm working on. This series in color with no vase, a portrait series if you will. This series will use one of my favorite flowers., the Calla Lily.

I've got folders full of shots of oranges .. they have such importance in my memory. As a post-war baby brought up with rationing of absolutely everything that you didn't grow in your own garden ..... Christmas was the one time we tasted a real orange! It was always in the toe of the Xmas stocking (which really was a woollen stocking!) and the last delight to emerge.
So there is a special place in my heart for the orange. And the most exotic oranges I can find are the ones with some leaves attached.

One of the best things about November is the return of Sandhill Cranes to the Pacific Northwest. This is a stop for them along the Pacific Flyway between Canada & Alaska and central California. Here, an adult with their colt scan the fall landscape for morsels.
This twisted dried out leaf in the darkness of the forest was illuminated by a single sunbeam finding it's way through the branches. Hand held with a Nikkor Micro 40mm f/2.8 lens
