The tradition of a Christmas Carol Sing takes place in the tiny hamlet of Prospect every year. From what I understand, this is the only time of year when they open the church. Although I tried a few in the dark, this was the only photo that made the cut. The red lighting, mainly on the roof, was from my friends flashlight.

This is Rose, from the Holland band, Kraak and Smaak, who performed over the weekend at "The Independent" in San Francisco...it was SUCH a great, fun show and she has an amazing voice!
What would you think if I sang out of tune
Would you stand up and walk out on me?
Lend me your ears and I'll sing you a song
And I'll try not to sing out of key
Oh I get by with a little help from my friends
Mm I get high with a little help from my friends
Mm gonna try with a little help from my friends

Een van de liedjes tijdens het bezoek aan Bokrijk - de sixties.
This knockout QUITE stopped me in my tracks at this show, after a day of seeing some absolutely beautiful cars. But this girl is something special. As you can imagine, she was surrounded, but I did my best. A few kind folks did see me trying to get pictures and waited, and I always appreciate that!
FYI: There is a '66 Buick nailhead under the hood.
A House Wren, a rather plain looking bird but a wonderful little singer. He was so caught up in his singing, in fact, that I was able to get remarkably close.

I don't know where I'm going
Don't know how to leave
But if you come with me
I'll have all I need

I returned to one of my favorite locations yesterday evening for some random, therapeutic self-portraits, right before I shot an engagement session.
It was nice to have time for myself and take some self-portraits again. I hope I'll get to do more of that once I'm done with school (on Wednesday!!) and home in California. Cannot wait :)
put away the beeps, the vibrates, the rings
just wade into the tide and hear the earth sing
enjoy the day, my peeps !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The shore-lark soars to his topmost flight,
Sings at the height where morning springs,
What though his voice be lost in the light,
The light comes dropping from his wings.
Mount, my soul, and sing at the height
Of thy clear flight in the light and the air,
Heard or unheard in the night in the light
Sing there! Sing there!
