When I was connecting the 3 folded units into a new unit (please see first comment box if you missed that yesterday), I put them aside (I had to make 20 new units) When I looked again, I saw water lilies and I just had to take this picture ;-)) Inspired by all that rain that is failing down I created this 'wet look'.

*Working Towards a Better World
In all sincerity, I see no point in war, violence only breeds violence, death, hardship, deep sorrow, pain and fear. Diplomacy creates the possibility of debate, exchange of ideas, the ability to find peaceful solutions through compromise. Diplomacy is not always successful, but it has a good chance of eliminating the pain and fear caused by war.
It seems to me that we are afraid of trying to work things out in a peaceful way, it is not easy, but surely peace DESERVES A CHANCE?

Okay, so i had started our NYE flirting. But i was still surprised, after just a few dances, at his suggestion that we "go for a stroll"... and even more surprised to hear myself saying "Sure" all too eagerly. Walking along the beach, he told me about the harbor... something about how boats know which one has the right of way. I listened enough to nod along... but i was focused less on what he was saying and much more on how he was saying it. In his voice i heard sincerity, honesty, intensity, passion, intellect... all revealed in rich, deep tones which washed over me like warm hypnotic waves.

This shot was taken at Scotty's Garage and Barn in Upper Flagstone Creek which is really near the foot of the Main Range (Great Dividing Range) on the back road between Gatton and Toowoomba in South East Queensland. I love those old rusty relics and signs of yesteryear.

Guzo's Peaceful Day
As the sun gently filtered thru Guzo's window, the bedroom was filled with a soft light. Guzo, nestled in fragrant sheets, had just woken from a long and peaceful sleep. Today was a special day he had set aside for himself.
She didn't rush thru breakfast. She brewed a hot tea in her favorite cup, added fresh fruits, and a piece of homemade cookie on the side. She savored every bite, far from the day's hustle, simply enjoying the moment. In the afternoon, she prepared a small spa ritual to pamper herself. She lay back in the tub filled with bath bubbles, turned on her favorite music, and closed her eyes. The warmth of the water took away all her fatigue. In the evening, she got ready to meet her friends whom she hadn't seen in a long time. She put on her favorite dress, did light makeup, and smiled at herself in the mirror. Tonight, it would be filled with laughter. They met in a small, cozy tavern in a bustling corner of the city. Raki was brought to the table, and the conversations deepened. Old memories were refreshed, new plans were made. Every glass was raised in honor of friendship and joy. Time flowed like water. Laughter echoed, songs were sung. Guzo enjoyed the warmth and sincerity around him. Sometimes, a simple evening spent with friends was the greatest luxury. Around midnight, Guzo returned home. When he opened the door, the silence of the house greeted him. There was a slight smile on his face, and a peaceful weariness in his heart. When she entered the bedroom, the day's fatigue settled on her shoulders with a sweet heaviness. She put on her comfortable pajamas and sat on the edge of her bed. She sat there for a while, thinking about the beautiful moments of the day. The time she dedicated to herself, the laughter she shared with her friends... Everything had filled her heart with gratitude.
Finally, she slipped under her soft blanket. When she closed her eyes, all the beauties of the day passed thru her mind like a film strip. Guzo took a deep breath and fell into a sweet sleep, to wake up to a new day tomorrow.

The Forty Martyrs of Sebaste are Christian soldiers who were martyred for their faith in Christ in Sebastia (Lesser Armenia, modern Turkey) in 320 under Emperor Licinius.
In the hands of each of them is the Cross and the Crown.
The forty martyrs of Sebastopol are seen as the support of the Church on whose bones and blood it was built. According to ancient legend, the power of their collective prayer has the ability to give strength to both the structure of the temple and the body of the Church as a single spiritual organism.
The mosaic images of the Sebastopol martyrs belong to several masters and are of different artistic quality, but they all captivate with their sincerity and attempt to convey individual traits. The faces of the Sebastopol martyrs show different types of spiritual beauty, they can be considered as ideal portraits of soldiers. When we look closely at the images of these warriors, the question involuntarily arises: from whom were these images created? Who was the prototype or prototype? Gladiolus flowers bloom on a long spike that ranges from 2 to 4 feet tall.
These beauties open from the bottom and work their way upwards creating a long spire of blooms.
The grass-like foliage resembles the blade of a sword giving these flowers a reputation as sword flowers.
The blooms range in colour from bold orange and red to pastel blues, pinks and yellows, lilacs, whites and purple.
The gladiolus flower symbolises honour and remembrance, but it has other meanings too.
It can also symbolise the following:

•Faithfulness, sincerity and integrity
•Infatuation
•Never giving up
