Whilst walking in Greenwich on a cold November morning with my wife I saw this guy who was standing in a doorway asking passers by for any spare change. I didn't have anything in my pocket but Noriko offered to give him a couple of pounds , and as she handed him the money his face lit up and he said thank you so much with such a sincerity that it must have been a real help to him. I asked him if it would be ok for me to take his picture and he said that quite a few photographers have asked to take his photo..... I joked that's cause your so photogenic but actually when I look at the photo now I think perhaps he really is .
Terrus, the Great Shape-Shifting One. The false god which the Shiryokans worshiped long ago, and to whose rituals many still cling. I start a new set at Flickr a very lengthy series Ajmer Urus 2009 , 3 cards of 4 GB each.. shot in two days , I had a 16 GB card too, but I did not use it, the reason being photography is totally banned within the precincts of the Dargah..
Permission is given on the whims of the Dargah authorities..the criteria of color is important ..racism exists in Holy Places too..
I applied for permission, presented my Press Card , my Pan Card two photographs, but as you see I dont look like a photographer so it was turned down as the Dargah authorities give permission to a white man first, the Indian photographer is deemed a terrorist according to the mind set of the people in charge..dogs and Indian photographers are not allowed at the Ajmer Sharif Urus..
My Belgian photographer friend was lucky enough to get the permission.
I have continuously stayed at the house of Peersaab Fakhru Miya Hujra no 6 my host, benefactor and patron every trip that I made to Ajmer Urus from 2005 to 2009, ..and I have shot Ajmer with the sincerity of my soul and Ajmer is my pictorial gospel, of the Message of Peace as expounded in love and brotherhood by the Holy Saint Khwajah Gharib Nawaz Moinuddin Chishty Al Sabri.
I call this Tablike Khwajah Gharib Nawaz..his message of humanity, this is the only Shrine that has millions of pilgrims from all over the world..no bar on caste color or community ..Hindus throng to seek the Holy Saints blessings you ask for a single wish he extends it to your unborn child too, such is the bounty of the Khwajah Gharib Nawaz.
I am not an adherent of Sufism,but I am touched by the Holy Saint who beckons me year after year, I am going through very bad times in my business this trip was not happening, but he pulled me across ..I shot for two days that made a moment seem like a life time.
I hold no grudge towards the Dargah authorities , but I would like to display my inner hurt publicly so one can read in black and white, as in some cases Indian photographers are allowed at the Dargah with cameras and arc lights only if Katrina Kaif comes in as she generates the hoopla for commercialism in spirituality.
This is Truth as I see it..and it should hurt those whom the cap fits..

I shot the Malangs at the graveyards of Char Yar, I shot the Bawas of Char Yar.,.I shot the gemstone markets, the beggars, Dhai Din Ka Jhopda, and on the last day shot a Mehfil on the eve of Chatti on the terrace of the house of my host Peersaab Fakhru Miya Hujra No 6 one of the specil spontaneous events was the Whirring Dervesh of Ajmer a sight you normally dont see in public but at privately..
I had traveled barefeet and remained barefeet till I reached Mumbai this morning at 7 am..my feet bled , I could barely walk, but I knew I would overcome the frailty of my flesh.I removed shards off glass in the evening from my tortured feet, and I did not carry my diabetic medicine or my insulin syringe at Ajmer , I felt if I come to a Spiritual Healer like Khwajah Gharib Nawaz why must I carry medicines , his love and affection protected me at all times.
I have a vardan of Hijras they cross my path at all times ..I must mention this significant detail..
I was boarding the train for Ajmer I was accosted by Hijras of Gharib Nagar Bandra ..and when I got off at Bandra Terminus I met hijras from Bombasy Central, who touched my feet and asked me to bless them..

Don't let all the symbolism and shadows blind your eyes to what He accomplished for you!

When you are excluded, subtly offended, forgotten or easily ignored by people you give time to, you don't do yourself any favour by allowing them your energy and your life.
The truth is that you're not for everyone...

That makes this world so special, when you find the few people you have friendship, love or a true relationship with...
You will know how valuable that is...
Because you have experienced what isn't...
But the more time you spend trying to make you loved by someone who cant...
The more time you waste depriving the same connection...
There are billions of people on this planet, and many of them will end up with you, on their level, with their vibration, from where they stand...

The smaller you stay, involved in the privacy of people who use you as a pillow, background option, a therapist and a strategy for their emotional healing...

If you stop showing up, you might be less wanted...
If you stop trying, the relationship might stop...
If you stop texting, your phone stays dark for days and weeks...
Maybe if you stop loving someone, the love between you will dissolve...
That doesn't mean you ruined a relationship!
That means all this relationship had was the energy that only you and you hire to keep it in the air.
It's not love.
That's attachment.
That's wanting to give a chance to those who don't want it!
The most valuable and most important thing you have in your life is your energy.
Its not just your time because it's limited...
It's your energy!
What you give every day is what will become more and more in your life.
It's the ones you give time and energy that will define your existence.
When you realize this, you start to understand why you are so impatient when you spend your time with people that don't suit you, and in activities, places, situations that don't suit you.

Turn your life into a safe sanctuary where only '' compatible '' people with you are allowed.
You are not responsible for saving people.
You are not responsible to convince them to be saved.
It's not your job to exist for people and give them your life, little by little, moment after the moment!
Because if you feel bad or if you feel obliged; you are the root of all of this by your insisting, afraid they promise you the favors you won't give them...
It's your only fact to realize that you are the loved one of your destiny and to accept the love you think you deserve.

Early Just Music featured written scores and graphic notation by Harth, soon pivoting to pure free improvisation. Their performances integrated elements of jazz, classical, fluxus, dada, and avant-garde happenings, resulting in music that was almost unclassifiable—marked by wild textural variety, extended instrumental techniques, and collective sound exploration. The group’s most prominent album is their self-titled LP "Just Music" (ECM 1002), recorded in 1969 at Nettekoven Studios and released in 1969, later in May 1970 re-released with a different cover — one of the earliest ECM releases. The album remains influential, demonstrating their explosive blend of intensity, humor, sincerity, and boundary-pushing inventiveness. The Bishnoi are a tribal/religious sect whose belief in the sanctity of the environment, and the need to protect trees and animals dates from the 15th century.
Bishnoi (also known as Vishnoi) is a Hindu religious sect found in the Western Thar Desert and northern states of India. They follow a set of 29 principles/commandments given by Guru Jambheshwar (1451-1536). The glorious, towering Mt Taranaki lucidly reflected upon the vast, lush Lake Rotomanu - a moment of beauty in pure clarity. It was a scene like no other, and it drastically bettered my alleviation from weeks of stress.
The cleansing breeze, picturesque landscapes filled with nature's finest elements, and the faint presence of the sunset gradient cleansed my thoughts of the indoors and engaged my adventurous-self.
While I mesmerised in the glory of the scene, I had a chance to contemplate and think about all the work I've done. What did I learn? What could I improve from my work? I felt that time was paused for such a moment, and I could take my thoughts from a different perspective. There was never a better chance to reflect than in that once in a lifetime moment.

It says 'Sent in all sincerity' on the postcard, in case you're wondering. How very formal. :)
The postcards date from the 1910s - 20s; the little pot with a micro mosaic lid from around 1910 and the button from the 1880s. The common name for the tiny flower on the pot is The Scarlet Pimpernel despite the fact it's actually orange. I just looked it up and discovered that the colour 'orange' refers to the fruit and therefore wasn't known in the UK until the 16th century. That's why this flower is called scarlet. You live and learn!

so i've been using my VAIO for over 6 years now. It's served me well (: I think it's time for him to retire! He's helped me through many hard time for school. He's always been there for me :D So here i say, farewell and I will continue to use you sometimes ;) I will never forget your sincerity and kindness :D teehee!
so this of course is not my usual type of shots, but i was too excited about the macbook pro, that i just HAD to :D I'm totally in love with it! gossssh :D i'm transferring my photos, files, and work from my VAIO to this, and it's gonna take some time. Also i don't have photoshop for my macbook yet, so i'm gonna have to go SOOC for a few days, i think. ;P
I had an amazing day today! My dad FINALLY came back after 6 months of working in Hong Kong! I'm so happy he's back and we already went out for dinner tonight. We had japanese :D yummmmm!
