My work at inxsol (http://www.inxsol.com/simulation.aspx) illustrates how we build training for mechanical systems such as aircraft engine maintenance as found at OEMs like Honeywell or GE. These simulations require a cross over of programming and subject matter expertice. I am not an AMT certified technician but I have worked with avionics and fighter jet design.
