I collected about two dozen beautiful and varied leaves last night from the trees at Costco. My husband loaded our groceries while I wandered the parking lot searching for treasures. When we got home, I carefully laid the wet leaves on towels and put heavy pans over them to keep them from curling up and getting crunchy. I had dreams all night about what I could create with them.
On dreary days it's comforting to know that this is near my doorstep and I can't wait for the next visit.

The Maryland Rinehart was one of a group of successful American sculptors who worked in Rome during the mid- nineteenth century.One of his finest works in his depiction of Latona.the Roman goddess of night,seated with Apollo and Diana,the twin she had by Jupiter,asleep at her side.She looks with tranquil affection at her sleeping infants who resemble classical putti.Further classical illusions are made by Latona's simplified hair patterns and archaeologically precise costume and sandals.Rinehart masterfully handled both the theme and the composition of this ambitious undertaking,avoiding sentimental "prettiness,"which he found "unworthy of sculpture."

Reading & Northern’s Scranton Branch job heads east as the sun rises. One of the unique features of Reading & Northern is the teamwork made between crews to simplify work. On this morning, the YJPI-1 crew had no outbound for NS, and instead of running on their own they rode the rear of PISB.
This, too, is taken in the gardens near the rose garden at Point Defiance Park, located in Tacoma, Washington. I think I'm having a difficult time deciding which I like more, roses or dahlias! They're both so beautiful! Hope you all enjoy!
