So yeah, I just had to give that thing a go myself. Procrastination is a bitch.
Original shot here. If you like this, go watch Burning North's simplified shots to see how it's properly done.
I've wanted to design a Stegosaurus for a while now, and even made a few attempts at it that didn't work out.
I dusted off the idea last month and, this time, things just fell into place. I scrapped my previous attempts and used my Pureland Stegosaurus as a jumping off point instead. You can still see that model embedded in the core of this one.
I also designed a slightly more complicated version that has three additional small plates, in order to make the model look more accurate.

He is a tiger cub. This was made to practice a simplified style of organic creatures. It's designed so anyone can build him and so the colors can be changed easily.
I made him specifically for the launch of the new Pley site, www.pleyworld.com/. If you'd like to build this or works from other LEGO artist, visit and vote.

The National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall (traditional Chinese: 國立中正紀念堂, simplified Chinese: 国立中正纪念堂) is a monument erected in memory of Chiang Kai-shek, former President of the Republic of China, in Taipei, Taiwan. A new name for the structure, National Taiwan Democracy Memorial Hall (traditional Chinese: 國立台灣民主紀念館, simplified Chinese: 国立台湾民主纪念馆),[1] was announced by President Chen Shui-bian on 2007-05-19. In subsequent legal wrangling, [2] the legislature repealed the organic regulations supporting the new name. In effect this annulled the change, though legislators generally declined to declare the old name preserved.[3] Legislators belonging to the President's own Democratic Progressive Party attacked the annulment move as infringing upon the power of the central government.[4] In Taiwan "Memorial Hall" suffices as the practical shorthand designation in English.
The monument, surrounded by a park, stands at the east end of a large square framed on the north and south by Taiwan's National Theater and National Concert Hall. The entire plaza is located within sight of Taiwan's Presidential Office Building in the Zhongzhen District of Taipei.
Dense fog simplifies my view on such a day. There is a feeling of being 'cocooned' or swathed in a blanket of foam. #cy365 #captureyour365 #windowview Day242
Suzhou (simplified Chinese: 苏州; traditional Chinese: 蘇州; pinyin: Sūzhōu; Suzhou dialect: [səu tsøʏ]; ancient name: 吳). Suzhou is a city on the lower reaches of the Yangtze River and on the shores of Lake Taihu in the province of Jiangsu, China. The city is renowned for its beautiful stone bridges, pagodas, and meticulously designed gardens which have contributed to its status as a great tourist attraction. Since the Song Dynasty (960-1279), Suzhou has also been an important centre for China's silk industry and continues to hold that prominent position today. The city is part of the Yangtze River Delta region.
The name of the city have been previously transcribed in English in various ways, including Su-chou (Wade-Giles system), Suchow, and Soochow. It is occasionally nicknamed the "Venice of the East" or "Venice of China".
Another dreary, stormy day made for bad conditions. I turned my attention to subjects right in front of me. Simplifying ended up being a good thing for me to do.

Week 22
Sometimes it can be difficult to have time to take a picture of the week. This week was one of those weeks. But I went out into the woods. I had just a little while for me to take a good picture.
I thought I had a good picture, but when I got home, no one has been really good. I was stressed out to get a good picture, but I think a good picture needs time. Time to get a good kompostion, finding the right light, at the decisive moment.
Instead, I took this picture with my phone, when I was out running with my daughter. To shoot with your phone requires less to perform. The result is technically not as good as having a good image taken with a DSLR, but sometimes the result can still get better.
Here's another view from the back stockroom. The "STP" lettering on the helium tank sign has the words "simplify the process" underneath.

I have a lot of interior design and vintage finds to sell
I love what I do but am out of energy at the end of the day to determine how to expand, to enterprise, to take it to the next level, so to speak
It's time to simplify
We are going to open everything up for sale
I've had a etsy banner done (by the talente Hijiri) for vintage wares for over a year
Haven't taken it to further to actually load my wares and set up shop
I promise
I've gathered some really cool pieces
Sweet and throwback
I love the 50's, the 60's, the 70's
This is throwing myself out there, getting honest, maybe it will help me be accountable.
Peace

Driving home from work I spotted this moth on our street sign, I did a quick U turn so that I could get it's picture.
I recently purchased some new toys that I wanted to practice on, Wacom tablet, and Topaz Simplify. Had fun trying and learning new techniques.
Develop a deep rapport with nature,
create beauty in your life,
learn to delight in solitude,
cherish silence,
love and laugh,
look at the details,
discover something new,
breathe deep,
and learn to trust that still, small voice within.

Taken a couple of weeks ago downtown Vancouver. A minimalist shot of what it looks like there during the playoffs this month. Game one in two hours!!
My wife and I visited this National Park property on a quiet Friday morning. It was misty and still and we thought this could make a good panoramic. As it happened I was not impressed with it as a photograph and decided to simplify the image using a Topaz program - Simplify. I like the result which is far more interesting than my photographic version.
The building on the left is one of the old hospital buildings on the site. People were brought from ships where there had been outbreaks of disease on the voyage out from England in the 1800's and early 1900's. One of the worst cases was the loss of 100 out of 400 passengers and crew on the voyage and a further 70 in quarantine.
