Rwanda. English lessons were based around a bunch of games like Simon Says, Pin the tail on the zebra, and others we made up for greetings, time, money, colours etc. Rumours abounded that local children had taken to playing Bingo (in English) at home... Am hoping that this costs as incultural exchange, rather than cultural imperialism. But there were no anthropologists on hand to consult...

My friends' little girl Olivia turned 1 today. She got an Olivia tea set. How cute!

I stamped the Altenew/SimonSays Stamps Dainty Spring Set. I colored them with alcohol inks and mounted on Coral cardstock. Yellow Nuvo drops added some bling.

Donna, my cousin and childhood best bud, is getting deployed to Iraq on June 6, 2009. There was a family picnic held in her honor at the park close to where we grew up.

 

I was the only one of all of siblings that brought along their other half. He enjoyed meeting my extended family ... and playing on the swings.
