I find Simon very difficult to photograph because of his dark face-up and yellowed whiteskin resin.

Simon is a Legend in the world of Dance music .
I first met him in the 89 when he worked behind the counter of my local record shop, where he would be serving up the hot tunes , something he's continued to do ever since both as a Dj and as a record label boss .
His Label 'Defected Records' has maintained being one of the biggest independent dance must labels for over 15 years. defected.com/
Simon said he was chuffed with the pictures , especially as he normally hates having his picture taken.

Direct scan from "Richard Goldstein's The Poetry of Rock," Bantam Books, New York, 1969. The cover has a trippy Peter Max-style illustration, plus a centerfold collection of quotes about various popular musicians. I purchased this copy at a thrift store primarily because it contains lyrics.
