Simon is one of only two boys invited to a Princess party on Friday for the girl who was his second girlfriend (in junior kindergarten!) He's been asked to dress as Prince Charming. The closest we could come was a tiara and a Darth Vader cape (don't ask me why in a house with three boys we had a tiara) so he decided to make a crown instead. Then he decided to make and decorate a crown for the birthday girl as well. So sweet! Five is a lovely age.

Simon is Gateway Theatre’s Artistic and Executive Director.
He has directed over 150 professional productions in
numerous theatres in Canada including the National Arts
Centre and the Banff Festival. His plays have appeared on
CBC radio drama and on CBC Television, as well as on the
stages of regional theatres across the country.

Simon Cameron (March 8, 1799 – June 26, 1889) was an American politician who served as United States Secretary of War for Abraham Lincoln at the start of the American Civil War. Cameron made his fortune in railways, canals and banking, founding the Bank of Middletown. He then turned to a life of politics.
Cameron gave his support to Abraham Lincoln, and became his Secretary of War. He only served a year before resigning amidst corruption. Cameron became the minister to Russia during the Civil War, but was overseas for less than a year.

The bubbles on his mouth are from the bucket of soapy water I'd just rinsed the concrete with - good thing we use 'pet friendly' cleaner, because Simon ate a mouth full of bubbles!
