St. Asaph Cathedral
St Asaph Cathedral (Welsh: Eglwys Gadeiriol Llanelwy) is a cathedral in St Asaph, Denbighshire, north Wales. An Anglican church, it is the episcopal seat of the Bishop of St Asaph. The cathedral dates back 1,400 years, while the current building dates from the 13th century. It is sometimes claimed to be the smallest Anglican cathedral in Great Britain.
A church was originally built on or near the site by Saint Kentigern in the 6th century (other sources say Saint Elwy in 560). Saint Asa (or Asaph), a grandson of Pabo Post Prydain, followed after this date.
The earliest parts of the present building date from the 13th century when a new building was begun on the site after the original stone cathedral was burnt by King Edward I in 1282.
The rebellion of Owain Glyndŵr resulted in part of the cathedral being reduced to a ruin for seventy years. The present building was largely built in the reign of Henry Tudor and greatly restored in the 19th century.

When the water wanna stay for a little bit longer under the trees, when it gently covers Earth, before it melts and gives the trees to live, before the spring will let it go, there's a time of silent nights. Nothing can disturb it, nothing can break it. The noise doesn't come out in this time.

I was wishing I could go for a Hike in the Mourne Mountains - but will have to do with memories for the short term future.... I took this one in October 2020 and by the time we got down it was a full 2 hour walk back to the car in the dark with the head torches on... Great days!

A stingray glides beneath the surface with the kind of control engineers spend decades trying to imitate. Its body cuts through the water without a ripple out of place, every movement deliberate, measured, and impossibly smooth.
From above, it looks less like an animal and more like a classified design a blueprint for silent travel perfected long before humans ever tried to copy it.
This image captures the quiet discipline of a creature built for stealth, a reminder that the ocean has its own operators moving missions we’ll never fully understand.
